"There are no "beginner" techniques, only techniques done at a high level. Our unique class design allows our students to be involved in every class we offer with unique task focuses to suit their individual stage of development."
At Expedition BJJ, we offer both Gi (kimono) and Nogi (submission grappling) programs. In keeping with the current trajectory of the sport, we put an emphasis on the nogi/ submission grappling element while maintaining our traditional roots training in the Gi. Whether you're new to the sport or an advanced practitioner, you'll find the most modern approach to Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu on the mats with us.
That being said, by having a focus on Nogi grappling at our academy, we can ensure that your training continues to be effective for self-defence even when the summer months roll around (and the jackets disappear!) in this generally chilly province. This focus allows us to provide you with the most complete skill set to defend yourself and the widest sport training opportunities.
